Annotation
The article emphasizes the relevance of a professional teacher personality being the goal and result of pedagogical education in the field of foreign languages. The author refers to the works of Professor N. V. Yazykova, who created the methodological training system for future foreign language teachers, and shows their theoretical and practical significance. It considers both new concepts introduced into the term system by Professor Yazykova, and theories and technologies created, the reliability of which is confirmed by time. In conclusion, the author offers the vision of promising directions for the methodological science developing in Russia.
