Annotation

FSES for the educational programme 44.03.03 Pedagogical Education (with two profiles of training) offers opportunities for students to have field work. The article presents the experience of educational sociocultural field classes. The study aims at getting the teaching community to know some new forms of field work, showing possible ways of teacher’s work against the new reality and meeting the challenges school teachers are facing. The sociocultural field classes for 1st and 2nd year students working for their Bachelor’s degrees with the focus on Russian language and literature are of an introductory and research character. The special feature of the field work lies in it encouraging students to get acquainted with the multidimensional activities Moscow and Moscow region museums conduct. Thus, the students get a holistic view of modern literary museums work, them functioning as centers for preservation, examination and popularization of the Russian literature heritage. Cooperation with Boris L. Pasternak Museum in Peredelkino and the State Museum of Vladimir V. Mayakovsky and its baranches provides students with the chance to visit the most important memorial places connected with the life and creative work of outstanding Russian XX century poets, to study the details of their biography, creative history of their works, including those that are not included in the school or university curriculum, which contributes significantly to future teachers’ professional competence. Teamwork enables students to participate in designing the museum space, to try themselves as researchers working in archives, as well as directors and creators of educational films. Other relevant interaction forms for the city university to engage employ analyzing the websites of cultural institutions, visiting exhibitions, attending conferences, lectures, participating in thematic walking tours, and working with rare printed publications.
