Annotation

The paper considers dissertation researches and scientific publications prepared by the future PhDs who have presented their theses to dissertation council 72.2.007.06 assembled in Moscow City University (MCU). There is evidence that the topics of doctoral dissertations presented in 2019–2022 comply with the three main directions of scientific research: a) developing various types of competencies and theirconstituents that contribute to facilitating certain personal features relevant for language learning; b) designing new methods and strategies of advancing various types of language skills in students; c) designing new types of study guides for language learning at different stages.
