Annotation

The article is devoted to the problem of systematization of visualization methods in linguistic discourse, the relevance of which is related to the new digital conditions of its implementation and paradigmatic shifts in the fundamental and applied aspects. The concept of visualization is clarified as a formalized output method of optimization in the representation of the object of study; the main parameters of its use in the teaching of theoretical linguistic disciplines. Visualization is particularly important in semiotics and linguistics, where it is used to model the process and results of research in order to reveal the structural- semantic coherence and functional dynamics of linguistic phenomena. The basic system parameters of visualization include the methods of visualization and the classes of meta-signs in linguistic research or pedagogical discourse. The class of meta-signs .determines the method of encoding visualization. There are three main methods and corresponding metasystems for visual representation of an object: iconic, indexical-symbolic method of schematizing modeling, and meta-language modeling. The iconic method of visualization is represented by a class of signs that reproduce the original object with varying degrees of accuracy. The unit of this code’s metalanguage is a shape or image. The index-symbolic method of coding reflects the abstraction of the object’s features and functional properties identified in observation and analysis, either in the form of a figure, a symbol image, or in the form of schematic images based on various systems of indexical meta-signs. The meta-language method of formalization is focused on creating a meta-language as a second-order language in relation to natural language. The difficulties of visualizing nonlinear dynamic processes in language and the effectiveness of vector code formalization are noted.
