Annotation

The relevance of the research is due to the concepts of representation, media representation, media image of the region, image, media image and image of the region being widely presented in the media. Academic distillations sinopsis emphasizes the differential characteristics of representation in comparison with media representation. There is an extra distinctive feature revealed that is essential for the study of media representation. The article defines the relations between the concepts of representation and image, representation of a region and image of a region, media representation and media image. The findings systematize the conceptual and terminological metatext of modern research and contribute to terminological differentiation and relevant use of the terms featuring in scientific linguistic discourse.
