Annotation

The article discusses the technology of forming moral values among bachelors of international affairs in the process of teaching professionally oriented foreign language reading. The article justifies two groups of principles that form the basis of this technology, among which the dialogue of cultures is the dominant one. Also, the article reasons the necessity of relying on the peculiarities of the structure of English-language media texts and the manipulation mechanisms used in press, along with considering the main functions of professionally oriented reading. The specifics of the stages of work on English-language media texts are revealed, which is reflected both in the methodological tasks of each stage and in the methods of teaching and upbringing implementing them. The role of communication as a leading means of forming students’ moral values in the process of foreign language reading is emphasized.
