Annotation

The article highlights the principal areas of studying A. I. Solzhenitsyn’s works within the framework of the Bulgarian Russian Studies. There are Russian-to-Bulgarian translations as well as the renowned monographs of Bulgarian scientists on the writer’s work considered. The article also reveals the socio-cultural and political aspects of Solzhenitsyn’s personality perception in the public consciousness of the brotherly people. The paper regards the problem of distributing the writer’s forbidden books in the Bulgarian samizdat. The events connected with the name of Solzhenitsyn and received a wide public response in Bulgaria are considered. The place of the writer in Bulgarian modern literary process is determined.
