Annotation

The article analyzes the lexical and grammatical features as well as stylistic devices used by S. Lukyanenko in his fantastic dilogy «Z: Quazi. Cenozoic», which allows to see the distinctive features of the popular writer’s literary style. Previously, this work has not become the subject of a special study, which determines the relevance and novelty of this research. Modern science fiction science in Russia, as a relatively young branch of humanitarian knowledge, needs linguistic data on how linguistic means are implemented in fantastic discourse, which of them are the most frequent, what functions they implement, and how they allow the author to plausibly depict the unreal. The study relies on the methods of linguo-stylistic text analysis, linguistic description and continuous sampling. The author comes to the conclusion that the key to the writer’s success is a combination of a simple conversational style of presentation and various techniques for creating a comic effect, in which the transformed phraseological units, allusions and puns understandable to a wide range of readers, play a dominant role.
