Annotation
The article is devoted to the study of individual poems by M. Y. Lermontov in the system of the mythopoeic concept of heraldry, formed in D. L. Andreev’s treatise
«The Rose of the World» (1958). In this context, Lermontov’s classical texts are considered as examples of visionary lyrics. Based on the hermeneutic method, the aesthetic
role and ideological and artistic relevance of the mythopoeic elements of Lermontov’s figurative world are established. The gnostic nature of understanding the lyrical «I»,
the mystical perspective of love poetry, the Russian landscape, and social motives are revealed. With the help of the mythopoeic interpretation of Lermontov’s poems «Night. I» (1830), «Prediction» (1830), «Angel» (1831), «My Demon» (1831), «When the yellowing field is agitated...» (1837), «How often is surrounded by a motley crowd...» (1840), «From under a mysterious cold half mask...» (1841), «I Go out alone on the Road...» (1841), «The Prophet» (1841), «Homeland» (1841), and others reveal separate semantic layers of imagery linking Lermontov’s poetry with the Russian mythopoeic artistic space, which acquires the role of prophetic hypertext. The conclusion is drawn that in a number of M. Y. Lermontov’s poems there are images and ideas that influenced the formation of the theory and practice of Russian symbolism and post-symbolism as examples of mythopoetic thinking. The results of the research expand and complement the ideas about mythopoetic parallels and traditions in the integral artistic space of Russian lyrics, the historical and literary context and the possibilities of interpreting classical poems by Mikhail Lermontov in the system of discussion and the hermeneutic phenomenon of increment of meanings.
