Annotation

The article attempts to comprehend the tragedy in F. Kryukov’s works dating back to the beginning of the 20th century. As a realist writer, a united politician and journalist, Kryukov considered tragic consciousness to be the leading feature of his stories and the aesthetic choice. The tragic consciousness of Kryukov’s is unique in the way of expressing itself: designing tragic characters’ images is done in the most direct and powerful way. Tragic plots develop against the daily routine of the Don Cossacks. The tragedy of Kryukov as an excellent writer would show the diversity and richness of connotations together with paying special attention to expressing tragic consciousness.
