Annotation

The aim of the article is to identify the features of motivational discourse using four motivational speeches of successful English-language speakers. The specifics of grammar means that the speakers use to construct their motivational discourse are summarized. The conclusion is made that motivational discourse is highly addressee-oriented, polyphonic and emotional. The speakers use the variety of discursive means with the aim to share their experience with the audience, initiate reflection processes and motivate the audience act in a certain way.
