Annotation

The article regards the features of the motif wasteland and the related image of the Fisher King implemented in the novel The Da Vinci Code by Dan Brown. The author emphasizes the mythological motif is based on the characteristics of conspiracy theories within the modern information society and claims the global spread of simplified unipolar knowledge. In addition, the images of the “true” and “false” Fisher King, which differ in their attitude to symbols and the ways of their transmission, are studied.
