Annotation
The relevance of the research problem lies in the need to identify the specific features of the Chinese word, which distinguish it from words in non-syllabic, non-isolating languages, but allow to identify the very category of the word in Chinese. In this regard, this article aims at identifying the specificity of such universal basic characteristics of a word in Chinese as integrity, separability and free reproducibility. The study turned to the method of directed selection of words from the content of the Chinese segment of the Internet in the search engine Baidu, the method of compiling word concordances in Chinese text corpora, the method of information automated extraction from Chinese language corpora and electronic dictionaries, systematization and classification methods, the comparative analysis, methods of linguistic observation and description, methods of synthesis, abstraction and generalization. The source base for the study was the content of the Chinese segment of the Internet
in the search engine Baidu, electronic online dictionaries: Big Chinese-Russian Dictionary and Dictionary of Modern Chinese, as well as text corpora: BCC Corpus (Beijing Language and Culture University (BLCU) Chinese Corpus,) and CCL PKU Corpus (Center for Chinese Linguistics of Pekin University Corpus). As a result, the special features of the word in the Chinese language were revealed. The obtained results refute the view of the words being absent from the Chinese language, show the specificity of the universal basic characteristics inherent in the Chinese word.
