Annotation

The article is devoted to the study of stanza as an important criterion for attributing a poem to a specific genre of a poetic work, based on the lyrics of O. Wilde’s. The features of the strophics of some classical poetic forms, such as sonnet, villanelle, ballad and stanzas, in the use of which the poet reached the heights of perfection, are considered.
