Annotation
The paper is devoted to the representation of intergenerational transmission of mental trauma in the short story A Strange and Sometimes Sadness and novel A Pale
View of Hills. The forms of literary expression of intergenerational transmission of mental trauma are analyzed in the aforementioned works, as well as their function at the ideological, semantic and psychological levels of the work.
